Chapter 101

Estefan's POV

Stepping into the room to see Rhea set to leave made me realize that there was nothing I could do to change her mind. She had made up her mind, and I had no choice but to live with it. 

I sighed when I glanced at the paper and pen on the table. "Can't this wait till tomorrow?" I asked.

One, it was too late for her to leave. Two, I wasn't ready to sign the divorce papers. I hoped against all hope that she agreed to stay the night and end up changing her mind the next morning, but all that was just my wishful thinking.

"No, it can't." She stood up and stretched the divorce papers and the pen to me. "Sign it." 

I stared into her eyes to see a sad, broken girl. Did I do that to her? What could I have possibly done to her? I guess I would never find out since she was leaving. My eyes moved to the papers in her hands, which already had her signature on them.
