“We’ve received the reports concerning last year’s deliveries from the academies of Lycans and Daigons,” Lady Madelyn started, staring down at a stack of papers on her podium. “The first five seasons, the seven kingdoms of Sun-World received a full season’s worth of food supply, but the sixth and seventh seasons were particularly difficult as there was a crisis that led to the breaking of the Heptagon and the eventual war between the seven kingdoms.”

“The Sun-World Heptagon broke?” King Eiraeth asked, his eyes tensing.

“Yes. I’m sure you’re surprised, given the fact that it was being headed by an Elven lord,” Madelyn responded.

Eiraeth’s brows furrowed, but he remained silent.

“Well, I’m not surprised. Elves were the ones who ruined the world a hundred years ago; I don’t see why giving one of them the position of Archon was a good idea. The creatures of the dark are supposed to be wise,” Lady Sarah of Nyxon mouthed from her corner, throwing Eiraeth a side eye
