“What a goddess…” A voice gasped dramatically.

Beauty’s heart skipped a beat, fluttering in her chest like a startled bird. She spun around, only to find Bruno lying flat on the floor, eyes closed, as Eric stood beside him, fanning his face like a concerned best man.

Seriously? she thought, half amused, half exasperated.

He was pretending to have fainted at the very sight of her.
