Khushi's POV

"Khushi ma'am, are you okay? Has anything happened?" Sia asked as she saw me moving back and forth across the living room.

"Everything's fine," I replied while glancing at the time. 11:00 p.m.

Why isn't he still home?

"It seems like Master Darsh will be late." Observing my anxiousness, she added. I felt my throat getting drier with each passing minute. I wasn't fully convinced that Darsh could kill someone, but it didn't seem totally impossible either.

"Send me the documents after dinner. I will look into these before going to bed." My ears caught the extremely familiar voice I was waiting for right at that moment, leading me to spin back.

I caught the attention of Darsh and Uncle Hemant as they entered the mansion.

"Oh? It seems that my lady has been waiting for you, Master." With an air of guilt, Uncle Hemant stated, "We shouldn't have returned so late tonight."

Darsh remained motionless for a while before saying, "Khush
