Chapter 103. Mia’s Substitute

The girl's lips slowly began to tremble. The turmoil in her heart was getting bigger. Until at one point, she could no longer drown out the noise in her mind.

"What were you actually doing yesterday?" she asked in a voice that wavered with pain. The tears that peeked, were ready to fall if Julian was telling the truth.

However, instead of giving the requested answer, the man said, “Sorry, Mia. I can't tell you yet. How about we have dinner together on this weekend? I'll explain everything there."

In an instant, the girl's chin began to twitch rapidly. Her mind had been ruled by a prejudice. "Julian must want to break up with us," she thought before taking a very heavy breath.

Once the feeling of tightness was a little bit over, Mia steeled herself to ask a question. "Why don't you just do it now?"

"Now?" the man asked with eyebrows raised to the max. "I can't, Mia. I am not ready—"

"Then there's nothing to explain. We don't need to have dinne
