Chapter 123. I Only Love You

Hearing such an honest statement, Mia fell silent. Not knowing what to say, the girl folded her arms in front of the chest. She didn't protest when the door closed before the other passengers entered, nor did she make a sound when the gondola started to slide. Her gaze fixed on the window, looked so mute.

"The officer said that the gondola travel time is about 18 minutes," Julian said as he was not afraid anymore to start the conversation. His lover was unable to escape from in front of him.

As expected, Mia didn't respond. After a moment of silence, Julian took a deep breath. "May I take a minute to explain everything to you?"

Again, the girl kept the silence. Her gaze was reluctant to shift from the panorama that should invite admiration.

“This is all my father's plan, Mia. He deliberately hired Katniss to make you jealous," Julian implied, waiting for the change in the girl's expression. However, the secretary did not move a single facial muscle.
