"We can't go before saying goodbye to you, Grandpa," Julian said in a hoarse voice.
After swallowing bitter spit, he lowered his chin, meeting Mister Hunt's gaze. The old man turned out to be widening his eyes at him.
"Julian, why are you here?" Mister Hunt sighed with worry streaking across his face.
Trying to curl up his lips, the young man sat beside his grandfather. They were then only separated by a pack of bread, a bottle of water, and a bluish awkwardness.
