Extra III. Disappointment
After one breath, Ronald tried to break the tension through a smile.
"But I think we're more suited to be friends. Our personalities are too similar. As for a relationship, I think ... lovers should complement each other."
For a while, no sound was heard from their table. The man had arrived at the end of his confession, while the girl was still struggling to digest the situation.
Not wanting to show a frozen face, Lena bowed deeply. Her lungs had never been so congested before. With great difficulty, she tried to collect air. However, once the oxygen hit the brain again, the girl laughed. Shaking her head faintly, she revealed her numb face again.
