Chapter 97

Janet arrived at 7:45 AM and gave the all clear signal. We let her in and explained what everyone would be doing today. Janet removed all of her clothes without a word, didn't even bother bringing an apron or smock today, intending to work naked as we did. Lucia and I left at 8:15 to be at the clinic by nine.

Lucia was done with the last of her tests by noon. We went to a mall afterward for the crowds and the safety they provided, getting some dominoes from a game store and eating lunch at the food court. I showed her a picture of Jack from my phone from a time before Lisa's divorce so she knew what he looked like and didn't look ready to attack any man who approached our table too closely. It helped, but Lucia always remained alert.
