We chatted about more inconsequential things the rest of the way, her job, her friendship with Reneé. We didn't even bother discussing the ex-boyfriend. She'd tell us about him if and when she was ready. I liked her. Despite knowing what happened on Memorial Day, she'd still taken a chance on Chen, probably on Reneé's recommendation, but nonetheless, I hoped things worked out. When we got there, Jerry and Reneé were already there, as we were running late. Renee's attire was not quite as dramatic as ours, and she didn't have slave jewelry or accoutrements yet or Jerry didn't want her wearing them in public, but she looked splendid, and I wondered if it was her doing or Jerry's. It accented her beauty and her sexuality, a short and flirty skirt, showcasing her legs, barely coming three or four inches below the apparent apex of her legs.
