Chapter 40
JULIA
I was vaguely aware of Master getting up, but not so aware I realized what his getting up meant. I was back asleep before I realized he was gone. I woke up around nine, remembered he'd had to go to work this morning to deal with the Watkins, knowing I'd lost the chance for the silk dress. Since I was naked most of the time anyway, the leather harness wouldn't particularly bother me. Master would never take me out of the house in it, so I slipped back to sleep, glad I could finally get some real rest.
Getting up around eleven, I fixed myself a hearty breakfast, still hungry despite the steaks last night. Cleaning up afterward, I had time to read, but my usual literary fare had less appeal. I was living the fantasy, and reading about some fictional girls travails as a sex slave didn't float my boat the way it usually did. I imagined it might again after my own slavery was over. Instead, I caught up on some magazines I'd let slide. It was odd
