A loud clash reverberated through the clearing as their blades met. Naomi struggled to hold on but her muscles were growing weaker. Had she been in her own body, she might have found it way easier to press on. She caught a glimpse of pleasure in Daegal’s eyes before he knocked the blades out of her hands.
“You fight like a drunken brute in the streets of Shayr. You must have taken politics and magic more seriously than swordsmanship, Princess,” His tone was mocking, especially when he mentioned her title.
With a huff, Naomi picked up her fallen weapons. “Shut up and fight.”
She rushed at him, daggers raised. She spun to slice at him when he grabbed onto her flying hair, holding her in place. “Put your hair up next time.” He pushed her forward.
