When I was tied up in a room with many alphas that could break me in a second if they wanted, I didn't shake.
Why the hell should I when I know this is Zade?
"Are you okay?" I hear an unfamiliar voice ask.
My brows furrow and I try to hide my disappointment that it is not Zade when I nod. Then I thought he couldn't see me in the dark so I whispered a small yes.
"Okay, I'm going to untie you now. Just hold onto me, okay?" the voice says again and I nod, this time not bothering to follow it up with words, sure that he saw the action.
He couldn't be untying me without the ability to see.
"I’m just going to loosen the wrist restraints first. Try not to move too fast,” the voice instructed gently. “You’ve been tied up too long and your circulation’s probably crap.”
“I noticed,” I muttered. “Tingles like hell.”
“Good sign,” he said, almost sounding amused. “Means your nerves are still intact. Zade said you'd be sharp.”
