I stare at Delilah with a blank look after she says that. I wish I could deny it but I can't because she is telling the truth.
I think of my childhood and how many times I have heard that. Asher's father always tells me 'Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back'.
It was supposed to be a lesson but my seven year old brain thought it was him commending me. I mean, the cat won in the end, didn't it? "No one." I shake my head, keeping a straight face.
"People around you are quiet then." she said with a shrug, I chuckle a little. "But it is a good thing, it makes you seem innocent. It is refreshing."
"Innocent?" That word sticks out to me.
Of all the things people have called me, innocent is certainly a new thing.
Delilah nods again.
"Yes, you're like a little pup asking things because he finds them fascinating. Refreshing, I told you because everyone acts like they know everything and it is just, bleh-" she scrunche
