I should not have felt warm or all tingly after hearing Alpha Zade call me his mate. I mean, I should be annoyed. He has been dragging me since from the airport, heck, the plane, so the last thing I should feel is anything but warm at his words.

The Tristian guy releases my hand, I've even half forgotten he had it there, my brain too busy testing out how hearing 'my mate' from Alpha Zade's mouth sounded.

He raised his hands up in surrender, smirking slightly at the man beside me. if I wasn't sure he gave me the creeps, then I was sure now. His energy just didn't seem genuine. I don't even know if that makes sense but when he is the type of person you wouldn't want to be alone with, and if by some unfortunate luck you, you always want to find the exit immediately.

"No need to get all growly on me big guy," he says, still smirking. His eyes raked over my body,
