Nathan looked from the papers to Ethan and back. It was true that he didn't want the world to know of his dirty actions in the past. He also didn't want to hand over his company to some riffraff. 

“I will not sign any silly paper. Stratford will never be yours. Go ahead and leak the secrets to the world. You will never get Startford!” Nathan finished. He didn't miss the shock on Ethan's face. Ethan had clearly not expected his father to make that choice. Deep down, Nathan wished Ethan would not expose him. He would be doomed. His partners in crime would deny having any involvement with him if things got bad. Ethan stood up from his seat and looked at his father. 

“Since I have obtained a go ahead order from you, I will do as you said. I still have more news but it will be more interesting if it came out one at a time. So, sit back and enjoy the drama.
