Chapter 148. Old Hammond

They drove back to the Hammond family. When they entered the mansion, they saw Alvera and Breanna sitting in the living room. Amber instantly felt a little awkward. In fact, she did not expect Pierce to bring her to the Hammond family directly.

“Hello, Madam Alvera, Miss Hammond,” Amber greeted them and glanced at Pierce rigidly.

Alvera stood up and sized Amber up. With a faint smile, she said, “Mel, come here and let me have a look at you.”

Just when Amber thought she would be nagged by Alvera for meeting Pierce, Alvera bent down and waved to Mel.

“Nice meeting you, Grandma!” Mel called as he ran over happily.

Breanna stood up and smiled, “Pierce, Grandma said that we have to wait for you all to come back and have dinner together. I’m famished!” Breanna giggled as she walked towards the dining table.

After the meal, Alvera brought Amber to her room.
