At noon the next day, Channing brought a large bag of gifts over to Elliot’s villa. Amber heard the doorbell and opened the door. When she discovered that it was Channing at the door, her expression immediately darkened. “Why are you here?” she asked.

“I’m here to see my grandson!” Channing yelled. He had no concern over Amber’s indifferent attitude and went straight into the villa. Mel was occupied with solving a puzzle in the living room when he heard Channing’s voice and looked up.

This was the first time Channing had seen Mel. He instantly took a liking to him. Mel bore a resemblance to Amber. He placed the gift he bought in front of Mel and affectionately touched Mel’s head, saying, “You’re Mel, right? I’m your grandfather.”
