Chapter 415. He Actually Came
In the evening, Serena felt chilled all over her body, but she managed to pour herself a cup of hot water. After eating some cookies and taking medicine, she went to sleep. However, she couldn’t even muster the strength to get up until morning.
The next morning at ten o’clock, Agnes knocked on Bonnie’s office door.
“Come in,” Bonnie said, looking down at the ledger on her desk.
Agnes came in and said urgently, “Serena still hasn’t come to work, and her phone is unreachable.”
Upon hearing this, Bonnie frowned. “Serena is alone in Trella City, and she had a bad cold yesterday. Could something have happened? She’s usually punctual and wouldn’t just skip work without reason,” Agnes said worriedly.
Bonnie thought for a moment and said, “I’ll handle this. You go do your work.”
“Okay,” Agnes said as she turned and left.
Bonnie then took out her phone and dialed a number. However, the call didn’t go through, which made Bonnie anxious.
