After dressing up, Serena put her handbag over her shoulder and walked to Spring, kissing her little face before saying to Jean, “Jean, I made an appointment to go out with a friend.”

“Okay.” Jean smiled and nodded, then lowered her head to feed Spring some water.

Serena left the apartment and just pressed the elevator button when she saw Johnathan coming out from the opposite door.

Seeing Serena was going out, Johnathan couldn’t help but ask, “Isn’t tomorrow your first day at work? Where are you going so early?”

“Oh, I made an appointment with Lia. She’s also starting work tomorrow. We’re just going to hang out,” Serena quickly replied, but she didn’t dare to look at Johnathan. She was not good at lying.

“Weren’t we supposed to invite her to be a bridesmaid? We should treat her well,” Johnathan said with a smile as he and Serena entered the elevator.

“We’re meeting at the department store, which is not in your direction. You should hurry to work.
