Zoe’s POV

As I entered the class, Lyra excitedly asked, “Yo Zoe! How was your night?” She winked.

“It was nothing like your dirty mind is thinking,” I lied with a poker face.

“Uh hun… someone seemed miserable on seeing someone lying unconscious soaked in his own blood,” Nyssa teased as she stressed on the word “someone” twice.

“I went too far even by my standards and it was his special day that I ruined. Hence, my actions,” I replied calmly but distractedly as if I was too bored to answer such questions.

I was saved from further interrogation when the class speakers blared out the Headmistress’ announcement.
