“Why? You scared? Paired to the weakest wolf?” Kai taunted and Aira high fived with him.

“You wish,” I scoffed, my eyes narrowing at the uncalled jibe.

“But it looks like, sis,” Samantha blew over her nails. “The arena is always open …. for cowards to run away at any time,” she smirked. “Let him participate,” she added, turning towards our siblings. “Kyler will not mind giving him a safe getaway,” she mocked.

“Pfft please,” Aira interjected. “Only if Chester and Danielle let Kyler stay there for long,” she taunted.

“Is this a battle of the sons-in-law?” Ryder joked as he and Jax joined us.

“Not if your mates are joining too. Where is San?” Samantha asked about his mate.

“Gone to the doctor for her periodic check up and ultrasound. She couldn’t join us for the battle,” Ryder replied. He looked like he was missing her already.

“And my mate is a newborn,” Jax murmured ruefully as he looked up at the infant in Ty’s arms wh
