Chapter 56. Nervous Bells

Zoe’s POV

“Where are you taking me, Lucan?” I asked as I walked cautiously with my eyes blindfolded.

“We are almost there, dear,” Lucan chuckled as he led me through a passage holding my hands.

I suddenly felt my feet sink into the sand and the noise of the ocean waves confirmed that I was at a beach.

“Ok baby! Are you ready?” Lucan asked.

“I don’t know ready for what but I would love to remove this blindfold,” I chuckled.

As soon as the blindfold was removed, I was met with the most glorious sight!

As the sun set in hues of orange, red and purple, and the waves gently washed the shore, the spot in front of me was glimmering with fairy lights and ribbons while a beautiful oak table stood under the palms with seven chairs
