We had to prevent the consignment from reaching Virelle’s territory as it would cause harm to the Blue Opal that my mate guarded with his life.

The Shadow Gang had been taking turns to patrol the woods and school premises to intercept the package that was to be delivered.

Tonight was my duty to patrol in the woods and after I had ensured that Nyssa and Maelis were asleep, I sneaked out of the window and made my way through the secret passage through which Talon had brought me back to school that day.
