Chapter 23. Jealousy

Zoe’s POV

Within 2 weeks of joining Asheville I had met three mates and if things could get any weirder, then we continued to burn the consignments that were to be delivered to Virelle.

However, as the consignments continued to pour in, the delivering party never seemed to be interested to increase the security around the package nor seemed to be bothered if the consignment went to the intended recipient party or not.

This matter troubled not only me but the entire Shadow Gang.

As we discussed the matter in the Red Room, Draven said, “The packages are genuine enough. The newborns are all kidnapped teenagers and they all have been painstakingly converted, then why is Virelle not doing anything to get the package safely?”

“I think it is not the newborns they want, Draven,” Lyra said.
