Just then, a cheerful laugh interrupted our moment.

“I see you’ve met Nyssa already.”

We turned to find a dark-haired girl leaning casually in the doorway, arms crossed and eyes bright with warmth. “I’m Maelis,” she introduced herself with a smile that could light up a room. “Nice to meet you all.”

I nodded, introducing my sisters. “I’m Zoe Stone, daughter of the Alpha of the Diamond Heart Pack. This is Lyra, and Seris, her adopted sister.”
