Chapter 25

Later that evening, she went back to the clubhouse. Jax and Ice were at the bar.

“Hey, baby, what happened to your car?” Jax asked.

“I have no idea,” Raine replied.

“Where’s it at?” Jax asked.

“Don’t worry, Sam took care of it. She had it towed to a mechanic she knows. Luckily, she was off today and picked me up. Otherwise, who knows how the hell long I would have been stranded on the side of the road!” Raine retorted.

“Sorry, baby, I was in Church and had left my phone in our room,” Jax explained.

“It’s fine, at least Sam was there for me,” Raine retorted, making her meaning clear that he wasn’t.
