Chapter 16. Sweet Mistake

Luna Asterbelle's POV

It’s been over five minutes now since I’ve begun to transmit my blood over to Yve, and still, there haven't been any changes in her state. She was still lying flat on the same spot of mist.

"It’s starting," King Dawn blurted out loud, and that was the sign for me to stop giving her my blood. "Step back. It’s not safe for you to stay with her," he warned me, which I didn’t understand quickly.

Yve rose above the soot, and then she managed to grab me by the neck. She was seriously staring at me, as if she were communicating with my soul. "What have you done?" Yve asked. Her eyes were filled with sorrow.

I can’t breathe. She was literally strangling me to death.

"Luna Asterbelle!" Dawn yelled my name as he attempted to pull me away from my friend’s grasp but was unable to do so. "I told you to step back," he mumbled to himself, as if he were partly blaming himself for my recklessness.

"Y-Yve… L-let’s talk about this peacefully,"
