Camille’s POV

But I couldn’t let her know, there’s no point, so I shook my head.

“Is everything okay, dear? I know you have been smiling sincerely since I came here but the smile didn’t reach your eyes and speaking of your eyes, it looks like you have been crying” she asked, concern etched on her face. “Talk to me.”

I shrugged and looked away, not saying anything, I knew she meant well, but this my thoughts and fear wasn’t meant to be shared. I had to come up with something so I told her I just missed my family and all, I’m glad she bought the story and didn’t push on further.

She sighed as she watched me eat the food finish and placed a hand on my shoulder. “I’m here for you, no matter what. You can talk to me about anything.”

I nodded, turned and hugged her. I don’t want her to worry herself too much over me, she has already done enough for me and she’s still doing more. I thanked her for the food and offered to take the empty tray of food to t
