Camille’s POV

Seven years have passed since Aiden had taken over from his late father; he was now 28 and I was 25.

Yes, the Alpha was ill and didn’t survive the sickness he had. Aiden had to step up and take over.

He ruled with an iron hand. Most of his subjects hated him, but they could not deny that everything benefited their pack in the end, which I overheard.

When his dad died I thought I would be free to go but no I wasn’t free, things got worse when he turned Alpha. I was now his rag.

It hurt me to see my mate treat me like this, but I could not do anything at the moment.

When his mum told him that she had found a woman for him to marry, the daughter of a noble in their pack and she was the best fit for him. He blamed it all on me for the inability of not having a real mate.
