Chapter 32

Alexa’s POV 

They are up now and wouldn't be coming down anytime soon. I guess their three hours begin now. “I have to do something!” I keep saying to myself as I run to my room. Even with no idea being in my head, this didn't quench the idea to do something. 

A single note of money falls from my drawer as I pull it out to take out the key to my room. Yes, I'm not running now. Before I run, I must gather my facts and make sure it's what I'm thinking. Clarity is the key word here. 

Maybe I need to lie on the bed for a while and think about what to do next. I snap my fingers. I need to go up there as a burglar. “Yes, that's the only excuse I'll have.” I affirm inside of me. 

“You will be beaten to death!” A second voice rises up in my chest. 

“I'll identify myself. I just want to see what they are up to.” I reply to myself. This plan sounds so crazy but there's nothing else I can think of right now apart from this. I have to do it.
