Chapter 50. Betrayers

Scott accompanied Lady Ruth to her chamber. She is to stay in her parents’ chamber since she will be made the new Baroness of Wizithon. As they walked into the chamber, Scott locked the door from the inside.

Ruth cast a searing gaze at him. “Tell me you didn’t mean what you said to Lord Ramsey?”

“Of course not, I was kidding but if anyone, including him, tries to give you a hard time, they will have me to contend with.”

“Don’t worry my love, I’m safe here.”

“I doubt because there’s no place safe in No Man’s Land.”

“I know you care for me but please don’t pick up a fight with anyone lest they will discover your powers and definitely discover my new identity.”

Lord Ramsey isn’t happy with the way Scott has spoken to him. Even though Scott was just acting up and shouldn’t be taken seriously, Lord Ramsey has taken it personal. It’s indeed true that Scott as the adviser of Lady Ruth is now the Lord of Lord Ramsey.
