Chapter 84. The Price and the Ride

South Forest

“Put me down!” the healer yelled. He had been picked by Scott’s wendigo when everyone was asleep as Scott instructed his wendigo.

“Stay calm!” said the wendigo in a deep tone. He then slowly dropped the healer at the feet of a fig tree.

He quickly picked himself up to run but suddenly caught the glimpse of Scott standing beside a tree. “Rough ride, yes?”

“It was indeed a rough ride!” The wendigo wasn’t easy on the healers during their escape. He was doing what he can so that no one will be able to see the healer. He kept running all night with the healer on his shoulder until he got to the South Forest where Scott has instructed the wendigo to meet him.

“I’m sorry about the rough ride, but that’s the best I could do.”

“I understand,” the healer said. He approaches Scott and shook hands with him. “Thanks,” he said.
