Chapter 97. Cannot Act

With those words, Zidant bid farewell, leaving Selena with mixed emotions. He appreciated her sincere offer and caring attitude, but the cautious nature of his heart led him to contemplate the unknown path that lay ahead.

Selena sat alone at her desk in the classroom, engrossed in the material she would be studying shortly. Cleo, feeling somewhat awkward, sat beside her and offered her a drink. There was a moment of silence as Selena simply stared at the drink Cleo had brought. Cleo could sense Selena's hesitation and frustration, but she was determined to make amends.

"Selena, I know there's tension between us, and I understand if you're still upset. But I truly want to apologize."

"Cleo, it's not that easy to forget what happened. This is tough for me."

"I know, and I sincerely apologize for my role in all of this. I shouldn't have let it go this far. I let my feelings cloud my judgment."

"It's painful, Cleo. But I appreciate your apology. Let's just
