Chapter 34. Strange Embrace

Jaxon quickly sat down on Veronica’s side, placing his long legs exactly on her lower belly, stroked twice by his firm calf. He took up a piece of paper that had fallen next to Veronica and presented it to her. He pointed to the no face man and asked, "Did you sketch this? Who is this person? With his figure, I must say he has demeanor of an Alpha and royal."

Veronica's countenance froze as she saw the picture, and recollections inevitably flooded her mind. It is the man she's treating her mate.

Snapped

Jaxon smacked her on the head. "Oh, I see! Your mate, huh? Still thinking this even though you already have child with me?"

"No." Veronica said hesitantly, "It's simply a character I made up."

"Don't make your high hopes that this Alpha you seek would still come back to you." Jaxon gave her a sarcastic grin before continuing, "Veronica, I tell you, you are the mother of my child; you are not permitted to have close relationships with other Alpha!"
