Chapter 61
Neguinho sighed, but remained silent, listening to everything. On the horizon, the sun turned orange and the sky was stained in shades of purple. In the distance, I could still hear sounds of dogs barking and loud music, but in that moment of silence, my mind totally relaxed from its tight reins. Neguinho stared at me again, hitting once again against my shoulder with one hand.
"I understand what went through your head, Ravenna, but I still don't agree," he said, in a much calmer and more delicate tone. "I was saved by this community. I was from Maré and I fucked up.
