Isla's POV:

My mind raced to all the possibilities on my way back home. I imagined my kids being snatched away from me and taken back to the pack where the witch would sacrifice them for whatever reason she needed.

I ran out of the car and pressed the elevator's buttons but it was busy and I couldn't wait for it to descend. I went for the staircase and climbed them without thinking about the weird looks my guard was giving me.

Those men had followed me home too but for some reason they didn't come inside. Instead, they just stood at the door and spoke to someone on their phone.

I banged on the door and screamed for Lilly, the caretaker, to open the door.

"Are you okay? " She asked, frowning.

"Where are the kids? " I asked.

"Sleeping." She answered without any clue in the world.
