Chapter 61. Must Face Him
She took a deep breath and walked toward it, expecting to be grabbed, stopped, or questioned—*anything*—but none of the security guards so much as glanced her way.
Countless armed men in black vests and masks patrolled the grounds, weapons in hand. Their eyes lingered on her, yet none made a move. The indifference sent a sick chill through her.
“I’m used to being stared at because of my rare features, but anything related to Bloodfang makes my skin crawl.”
She cursed inwardly and quickened her pace, heading straight for the massive structure ahead.
Finally, she reached what she assumed was the main mansion and stepped inside. The doors weren’t even locked.
As soon as she entered the grand, marble-floored lobby, her breath caught in her throat.
The space was vast, intimidating. Chandeliers dangled above like gold-spun webs. She turned in slow circles, unsure where to go—until she spotted it: a security camera high in the corner.
