Chapter 60. Understand My Pain
Aria whispered half asleep as tears rolled down her cheek.
She stirred, her lashes fluttering weakly against the soft light filtering in through the half-drawn curtain.
The expensive, fruity scent of air freshener filled her nostrils. Beneath her, she felt the softness of foam—nothing like the cold, hard floor of the Cell.
Her eyes blinked open slowly, her vision blurry at first… until a familiar figure came into view.
She blinked again, faster this time, her heart thudding faintly—like a bird trapped in a cage.
“Aria…” a soft voice called.

“Emi… Emily?”she whispered, her lips trembling, as if speaking too loudly might make the image vanish.
