Keira’s POV
I waited, listening to my father’s footsteps as he trudged up the stairs. After a few minutes, I heard the door to his room slam shut.
That was my cue. I tiptoed to the front door, grabbing my jacket and purse.
I rushed out of the house, running out of the gate like a maniac without looking back. I wanted to see Clint and know how he was holding up. As I ran down the street, I felt a drop of water hit my cheek, and before I could react, rain began to pour down heavily.
