Clint’s POV

I inserted my keys and swung the front door open. After a long day at work, coming home to see Keira was going to be the highlight of my day. I could already envision us relaxing and having a nice dinner together.

I stepped into the house, and I immediately heard loud, thundering footsteps approaching. My lips curled into a small smile. I knew who it was. Keira appeared at the entrance shortly after, and her lips slowly widened into a small smile.

It was just for a slight second, but I could see that her expression was grim. Did something happen to her?

“Hey, welcome. You are back earlier than I expected,” she grinned and swiped my briefcase, along with the bag containing the chicken salad she had requested.
