Chapter 128
“Come on,” I hissed and shook Eli’s shoulders. He was unconscious. I looked over my shoulder and saw my fellow agents releasing themselves from their handcuffs. “Someone make sure Jasper doesn’t bleed out!” I yelled. Kyle was at Jasper’s side immediately. He was on the brink of consciousness, collapsed next to Adam’s dead body. I stared for a few moments, not sure of how to feel.
“What are we going to do?” Beth asked shakily. She was crouched by her brother, wrapping a torn piece of clothing around his wound.
“There are agents outside. This room is soundproof so they have no idea what’s happened,” I said. “I need you guys to take them out and disable the lift so no more agents can come up.”
Kent stood up and cracked his knuckles. “Let’s do this,” he muttered.
“You are not going to kill them,” I said sternly.
“You’re not in the best position to be giving me orders—”
“Enough people have died already!” I snapped. “No one else dies.”
