Chapter 95. Lies

Everything around James stopped being audible as his heart started to beat. On the morning of her trail, Kim was discovered dead. Anika Sage and Don Sage were the only names that came to mind. 

Even though tears were running down his cheeks, he refrained from crying aloud. He sat back in his chair with his hand covering his mouth, finding it difficult to breathe. 

Kim was gone forever. His childhood friend and sweetheart is no longer there, and he will never see her again. 

His phone rang once more, but this time it was from an unidentified number. As he held it up to his ear, James' hand began to tremble. "Hello." His breath was deep. 

Someone spoke in a machine voice. "I see that you are aware of the Kimberly Ghorsy news. If you continue to investigate me, one of your family members will be the next to be found dead." Then the laughter started, and the phone hung up right away.
