Chapter 25

Sebastian kept his head down, realizing that nothing made Emma disappear from his thoughts, and trying to forget her only made him remember her more. But in that moment, he heard her voice, and when he looked up, he saw that she was actually there.

"Sebastian?!" she called out, her voice echoing through the empty space.

Sebastian straightened up, a smile spreading across his face as he realized that what seemed like a dream was real—Emma was standing before him. The man wasn't prepared for this, but it didn't take long for him to run towards her, and Emma rushed towards him as well. They embraced each other tightly, their arms wrapped around each other. Sebastian lifted Emma off the ground, spinning her around in the air, both of them overjoyed.

"Why are you here?" he asked, still in disbelief.

"I can't leave like this," Emma said softly. "I can't just learn to forget you, Sebastian. I don't want to."
