Chapter 70. A Plan to Save

An hour later we step off the plane, the guards following us. I see Dante standing with the brothers. A mass amount of cars behind them as we walk towards them. I look at D and he stands holding a dagger in each hand.

“D, put them away. They don’t have weapons out.” We can’t afford him to flip with a dagger in his hand. He grunts calling me some unsavoury names before placing them away.

“Calix.” Dante nods to him. “We have cars for your guards, you and your brothers will join us and we will discuss the plan.” I can see he is worried. Calix simply nods, no doubt trying not to take because that means he will scream. We follow them and get in the car.

“I apologise for this Calix. Our guard on the border didn’t stand a chance, they shot him, and left one of their men there to make it look like everything was fine. Had we known they would have been stopped at the border.”
