Chapter 101. Hidden in Plain Sight

By the time my meeting was done with my Beta Don and all of the training agendas had been planned out, it was nearly sunrise. Fighting techniques, strength training, and sparring battles I was sure we had gone over every detail to improve shifting training. I yawned, entering my bedroom, eager for a midnight snack of my mate before I let my body drown into darkness. My wolf howled, as the sudden rush of adrenaline coursed through my body.

My mate wasn’t asleep in bed like she had said she would be. Panic flooded my chest as I rushed out the bedroom and bolted down the hallway of the pack house.
