Harper's POV
My hands are still trembling slightly, but the warmth of his touch is slowly easing them into stillness.
Mason reaches for a clean, oversized t-shirt, one of theirs, from the way it smells like cedarwood and something darker, heavier. He slips it over my head with care, guiding my arms through the sleeves like I’m something precious.
“Let’s keep you warm,” he murmurs, tugging it gently down my thighs. “There we go. Just like that. Perfect.”
I watch him in silence, feeling the heaviness in my chest shift, not vanish, but soften into something I can carry. I lean forward before I even realize what I’m doing, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. It’s soft. Grateful. Not asking for more. Just… thanks.
Mason stills, surprised, then cups the back of my head with one large hand,
