It was finally Halloween. It was a Friday. It was almost three and it was the day Professor Mark told me I'd have to retake my test.

I didn't have any plans on actually writing the test. I couldn't be bothered to study when I still had to search for a job.

I'd gotten a new sim card and the first message I received was from the people my dad owed. It simply read, 'Welcome home, Jordan. We've been waiting a while now.'

Were they keeping tabs on me? How did they get my new number? Hell, was it that easy to get my contact?

It was weird walking through the hallways when the school was empty, but it was Halloween and everyone was either getting ready to party or already partying.

My heels clicked softly on the floor as I made my way up the stairs to the floor Professor Mark's office was. When I reached, I didn't bother knocking and barged in instead. I had a bad habit of that.
