“A marriage proposal,” Patrick responded with a proud smile that registered across his face.

“Wh—how? How did you set everything up?” I asked, still in awe.

“I had been planning to do it for a while now.”

Wow. My mind hadn’t caught up with what was happening.

“So what if I hadn’t agreed to give you a second chance? You weren’t even on your phone while we were in the room. When did you tell the boys about it?”

I had so many questions.

“I knew you would agree.” He responded with a cocky grin. “And the boys knew about it since. They promised to keep it a secret.”

“Wow,” I muttered under my breath.

Everything was so beautiful and perfect.

I never expected Patrick to pull off something like that. I thought we were coming downstairs to break the news to the kids, not knowing that I was walking into my surprise proposal.

“Do you like it?” He asked as he pulled me into a warm embrace.
