Elsie's POV

My divorce? Did I just hear him? He was saying he was grateful that I was divorced.

His face had shadows cast on it but I saw how serious he was. I wanted to attribute his confession to the fact that perhaps he was still drunk but I was mistaken. He was fully aware of what he was saying.

After the way he made my body feel, he dared to be so calm and relaxed, I on the other hand was still fighting to suppress the urge he had lit up in me.

When he took his hands from my body, I felt like I was taken to the edge of a cliff and then tossed down the slope to fend for myself. I was confused by what he meant about being in love but after listening to him for the past twenty minutes, I knew he wasn't still drunk.
